Buy a token or use a card at the station; from New Delhi station, connect to the wider Metro or a short app cab to your hotel. For light-luggage arrivals it’s the easy winner. Inside arrivals, the Delhi Police prepaid taxi booth is the safe on-the-spot taxi: state your destination, pay the fixed fare at the counter, and take the slip — which you hand the driver only at the end, killing any on-route renegotiation. Alternatively, Uber and Ola pick up at designated zones; follow the app to the marked spot and match the plate. Both remove the fare argument entirely.
